BNBuilders opens new Sorrento Valley office in San Diego

West Coast general contractors BNBuilders announced Nov. 9 the opening of its new San Diego office at 5825 Oberlin Dr., Suite 1 in the Sorrento Valley neighborhood.

The 10,000-sq. ft. building designed by Ware Malcomb reflects the company’s expertise on high-tech life science and research facilities, BNBuilders said in a news release. The facility is divided into professional and creative office environments with smaller workstations and an industrial feel. Design details such as exposed ceilings, concrete floors, and glass roll-up windows are prominent throughout the facility.

Without private offices, the new building offers more square footage that is allocated to break out areas as well as meeting spaces that promote teamwork and a supportive work environment. Aside from a High-Five lounge, BNBuilders’ new office also offers the following amenities to employees: electric vehicle charging stations, bicycle stands, showers and lockers, shuffleboard and a Kegerator that can brew beer, cold brew coffee, and kombucha.

Additionally, custom furniture pieces created by BNBuilders and its staff were also used to furnish the building.

“We’re thrilled to be working in these fantastic new offices. The amenities and outstanding design allow for our continued growth, and offer a better work/life balance to our staff, and an enhanced ability to serve our clients,” said BNBuilders principal Jamie Awford.

BNBuilder’s client roster in San Diego includes University of California San Diego for its Tuolumne Apartment Renovations, Vertex Pharmaceuticals for its new San Diego laboratory, and the County of San Diego for the Borrego Springs Library.

The firm has another office in Irvine.
