Derrick Schuster has joined PREMIER Design + Build Group, LLC as a senior project manager at the Southern California office. He has been a team lead in the industry for nearly 15 years with reputable construction companies and has procured an impressive $350+ million portfolio during his project management career.
Schuster is a results-first professional who brings single-minded determination to clients. He is as productive working with teammates and contractors as he is interfacing with executives and clients, the company says in its announcement.

Schuster has a long history of promoting progress and meeting scheduled construction objectives. He has been responsible for dozens of projects in Southern California, where he has spent his entire career. Schuster took the lead on several noteworthy projects including: a 28,000 sq. ft. retail location for one of the largest discount retail stores in the U.S., a 30,000 sq. ft. dining facility designed to serve 2,500 people at a leading university in Santa Barbara and a 73,650 sq. ft. math and technology building at a college in Long Beach.
Additional accomplishments include a four-story, 40,000 sq. ft. corporate center and a massive 255,000 sq. ft., four-story expansion and improvement to the headquarters of a world-leading technology company. He was also instrumental in the successful completion of a 45,000 sq. ft. auditorium and fine arts facility featuring cutting-edge technology for a major university and a high school track renovation spanning 700,000 sq. ft.
The knowledge and experience Schuster has acquired serve PREMIER clients in the Southwest Division well. He is responsible for overseeing projects from concept to completion, managing all aspects of both design and construction, including bidding, budgeting, scheduling, subcontract administration, client meetings, issue resolution, financial management and project closeout.

Schuster holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from the University of California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. He is LEED certified, BD+C and has overseen LEED Gold and Platinum projects.
While Schuster’s commitment to his clients is clear, he is also passionate about giving back to his community. When it comes to rest and relaxation, he enjoys spending his free time on the beach and traveling.
