Veterans Affairs plans to build $27M health clinic in Chula Vista

Veterans Affairs broke ground on a new health clinic in Chula Vista, according to a report by NBC San Diego.

The new Veterans Affairs San Diego Healthcare System facility, located at 353 H St., at the corner of H and 3rd streets in Chula Vista, will replace the current clinic at 865 3rd Ave., which opened in December 2015.

The clinic will cost about $27 million to construct. Once completed, the facility will be a two-story, 31,000-sq. ft. facility with 236 parking spaces — three times the size of the current clinic.

Construction is expected to be completed by December 2019.
