Construction begins on $450 million mixed-use development in Hollywood

Kilroy Realty Corp. broke ground on a $450 million mixed-use development project in Hollywood.

Academy on Vine is a long-anticipated project on 3.5 acres just south of the ArcLight Cinema complex, the Los Angeles Times said.

The project includes four mid-rise commercial buildings and a 20-story residential tower. The development will feature 335,000 square feet of office space and 13,000 square feet of retail space.

In addition, it will have a 16,500-square-foot studio and production building, along with restaurants and stores.

The project is expected to be completed in early 2020.
