Atkins, a member of the SNC-Lavalin Group, says it has appointed a San Diego airport official to lead the company’s aviation business in North America with a view to expansion.
Iraj Ghaemi has more than 34 years of aviation industry experience, most recently as the director of facility development at the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority.
Ghaemi is also executive director of the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA).
“Iraj is a recognized leader in the aviation industry,” Justin Jones, Atkins’ Intermodal business unit director, said in a statement. “His depth of knowledge and diverse experience, together with his standing as an industry thought leader, will be a great asset to the team as we continue to grow our aviation practice.”
