The Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA), META Housing Corp. and Western Community Housing broken ground for Vermont Corridor Apartments located in Koreatown.
META Housing and Western Community Housing are transforming the formerly-vacant lot into a 72-unit affordable housing building with a community center located on the ground floor. The site is located at 433 Vermont Ave.
After its completion, which is scheduled for the first quarter of 2021, Vermont Corridor Apartments will offer 35 units of housing for low-income seniors aged 62 plus while the remaining 36 units will provide housing to seniors experiencing homelessness.
In addition to common areas and open-space courtyards, the building will also include 12,500 sq. ft. of community space that will be operated by the YMCA.
