Renewable Properties has started building a three-megawatt solar project in Napa County.
The project, named American Canyon, will supply electricity to Marin Clean Energy under a 20-year power purchase agreement. It will produce electricity enough to meet the demand of 1,000 average households annually.
The solar panels will be mounted on horizontal single-axis trackers spreading 21 acres.
Construction is expected to be completed in July, according to Renewable Properties.
