Fortinet breaks ground on new headquarters building in Sunnyvale

Fortinet, a global provider of network security appliances for carriers, data centers, enterprises and distributed offices, recently broke ground on its new corporate headquarters in Sunnyvale.

The 172,000 sq.-ft. state-of-the-art building is being constructed  at the corner of Kifer Road and Commercial Street in Sunnyvale. It will be a LEED Gold Energy Efficiency facility.

The new facility will include advanced technologies, like a precast concrete structural system with a highly efficient passive cooling system. It also will have a “night purge” that flushes the warm air from the building providing direct energy savings and significantly reduces the building’s overall carbon footprint.

The company has hired Sares Regis Group of Northern California to oversee the construction project.
