City of Los Angeles shortlists three teams for Street Civic Building Project

The City of Los Angeles Bureau of Engineering has selected short-listed respondents in the request for qualifications to design, build, finance, operate, and maintain the Los Angeles Street Civic Building Project.

The city anticipates a total building area of approximately 753,730 sq. ft. providing office space for its different departments, a conference center, public displays showcasing the historical significance of the Parker Center, a childcare center, and street-level commercial tenant space.

The project is expected to include outdoor open space and pedestrian connections between City Hall to the west and the Little Tokyo neighborhood to the east and south. The city also envisions that the project will include approximately 1,173 underground parking spaces.

The new facility would be in the location of the old Parker Center, which is currently being demolished.
