The project is expected to include outdoor open space and pedestrian connections between City Hall to the west and the Little Tokyo neighborhood to the east and south. The city also envisions that the project will include approximately 1,173 underground parking spaces.
The new facility would be in the location of the old Parker Center, which is currently being demolished.
