Tutor Perini wins $50 million contract for San Diego’s park project

Tutor Perini announced that its Rudolph and Sletten subsidiary won a $50-million contract from the San Diego Symphony for construction of Bayside Performance Park.

The new permanent outdoor concert venue and active park will be built in the Port of San Diego’s Embarcadero Marina Park South on the San Diego Bay.

The project includes a 13,000-sq.-ft. concert stage and shell, public patio with bay views, terraced seating for up to 10,000, new restroom facilities, sustainable landscaping and an expanded promenade around the venue.

Work on the project commenced in September is anticipated to complete in the summer of 2020.
