LA issues 171 building permits in week before Dec. 12: Hoodline.com

Hoodline.com, citing local building permit data, says Los Angeles issued 171 commercial and 577 residential building permits in the week before Dec. 12.

Data from the Los Angeles city government indicates 45 permits were for new building construction, 28 were for demolition projects and the remainder were for repairs and renovations.

Here are some of the projects for which data was gathered by the website:

  • Contractor RJB Builders Inc. received a permit for repair/renovation of a commercial structure costing $60,000 at 1042 Downey Way.
    The permit defines the project’s work scope as: “Create an opening between two labs and rework soffit at new opening.”

Residential permits

  • Applicant CP General Construction was issued a permit for new construction of a residential structure costing $500,000 at 104 65th St.
    The permit defines the project’s work scope as: “New two-story duplex with attached two-car garage.”
  • Contractor CP General Construction was issued a permit for new construction of a residential structure costing $60,000 at 100 65th St.
    The permit defines the project’s work scope as: “New two-story duplex with attached three-car garage.”
  • A permit was issued for new construction of a residential structure costing $350,000 at 3040 Atwater Ave.
    The permit defines the project’s work scope as: “Three-story duplex with attached garage.”
  • Applicant Pacific Coast Builders was issued a permit for new construction of a residential structure costing $265,000 at 2747 Winter St.
    In the permit, the work scope is described as: “New three-story single family dwelling with attached garage.”
  • The city issued a permit for new construction of a commercial structure costing $135,000 at 10361 Telfair Ave.
    In the permit, the work scope is described as: “New accessory dwelling unit with attached two-car garage.”
  • Applicant J J P Construction Inc. was issued a permit for new construction of a residential structure costing $660,000 at 1332 Glenavon Ave.
    The work is described as: “New two-story single family dwelling with attached garage with trellis.”
  • Contractor Planet Home Development Inc. received a permit for new construction of a residential structure costing $400,000 at 1516 Echo Park Ave.
