Granite has been awarded a contract for the Highway 1 Overlay near Gualala in Mendocino County by the California Department of Transportation.
The $10 million contract calls for pavement overlay along coastal Highway 1 from the Sonoma County line to Point Arena. The work will improve the surface along the scenic highway overlooking the remote Mendocino Coastline.
“The 38,300 tons of hot-mix asphalt for this project will be provided by Granite’s North State Street Hot Plant in Ukiah,” stated Justin Ingram, Granite north coast operations manager.
