UC Davis launches advanced cost estimating and management program

The University of California, Davis Continuing and Professional Education, the workforce development arm of the university, along with Hung Nguyen and Paul Martin of the Institute for Construction Innovation, say they have launched Advanced Studies in Active Estimating and Integrated Cost Management program.

“Active Estimating and integrated Cost Management (AEiCM) is an innovative approach to cost management in preconstruction,” the university says in a statement.

The four-class certificate program is designed for estimators, project managers, engineers, and others who are responsible for overseeing large, complex projects. The program will cover Active Estimating and integrated Cost Management, Lean construction practices, and the application of new technologies that support integrated project delivery. AEiCM is based on over 15 years of cutting edge applied research, to deliver projects on time and on budget with an astonishing degree of predictability.

Nguyen and Martin will provide AEiCM content via online training, webinars, on-site workshops and conferences.

A free, online information session about the program will be held on July 23. Register for the information session here. UC Davis will begin accepting program applications the same day.
