Ground broken for commercial building in Oakley

Construction started on a 10,000-sq.-ft. one-story building at the northwest corner of Main St. and Norcross Ave. in downtown Oakley.

The building, scheduled for completion in 2021, is expected to be home to future restaurant, coffee shop and retail establishments, reports The Press.

The 0.38-acre site was purchased by R&R Pacific Construction in June for around $120,000.
