R.D. Olson breaks ground on housing community in South Los Angeles

R.D. Olson says it has broken ground on West Terrace, a 64-unit, four-story affordable housing community in South Los Angeles.

The 52,300 sq. ft., wood frame apartments are designed to achieve LEED Gold certification. West Terrace will offer 14 studio, 29 one-bedroom, 20 two-bedroom and one three-bedroom options. Amenities will include a community room, laundry facility, BBQ grills, a playground, bike storage, interior courtyard and community garden where residents can plant their own fruits, vegetables and flowers.

Located at 6576 Southwest Blvd. in South Los Angeles, the community will be located near a new Metro station for easy transit access as well as SoFi Stadium.

Construction is expected to complete in summer 2022.
