LA-based firm Silver Creek Development plans to turn the West Hollywood site of the Viper Room into a 12-story high rise mixed use development, with construction starting in 2023.
The existing building at 8852 W. Sunset Blvd. (at the corner of Larabee) was opened by Johnny Deep and former actor Sal Jenco in 1993,
Deadline reports the new building will include restaurants, cafes, a luxury hotel, music venue, and recording studio with original Viper Room memorabilia featured throughout the building.
“We are delighted to bring forth this distinguished mixed-use project that pairs an unparalleled level of luxury and attention to detail with a historic location on the iconic Sunset Strip,” Charles Essig, managing director at Silver Creek, said in a statement. “The project is a complementary offering to the Strip and will include a five-star luxury hotel to make 8850 Sunset a premier destination in the heart of West Hollywood.”
