Erickson-Hall Construction Co. has launched construction at the Public Safety Training Center at Crafton Hills College in San Bernadino. The new specialized fire training structure is located in Yucaipa, about 15 miles east of San Bernardino.
Erickson-Hall was chosen for its experience building fire stations and educational facilities across Southern California.
“We’re thrilled to join our design-build partner, WLC Architects, to enhance Crafton Hills’ top-tier Public Safety Program,” said Mat Gates, president of Erickson-Hall. “It’s very rewarding to use our expertise to help our future first responders pursue their passion—a career of service.”
The public safety program at Crafton Hills College prepares students for employment with fire departments and emergency medical response teams.
The new center was designed specifically to accommodate fire academy requirements for cadets seeking their certification as fire fighters and will train students in conditions that replicate real-life emergency situations.
Construction is expected to be completed in December 2023, completing the advanced Public Safety and Allied Health complex constructed in 2015 on the campus.
