A new video posted May 23 by RIDA Chula Vista shows construction progress on the Gaylord Pacific Resort and Convention Center that is anticipated to open in summer 2025 in San Diego.

RIDA Chula Vista, LLC is developing the site in collaboration with the Port and City of Chula Vista. The Gaylord Pacific Resort and Convention Center is expected be the centerpiece and the catalyst project of the Chula Vista Bayfront.

While most first tier trade partner scopes of work have been bid and awarded, there are still opportunities to participate in the project. Click here for a list of all First Tier Trade Partners.

It will include up to 1,600 hotel rooms, a convention center with four ballrooms, three levels of meeting space and two outdoor meeting and event lawns; public promenades and public amenities; and associated retail and resort-level amenities such as a pool with a lazy river, and spa.

Anchoring future development of Chula Vista’s bayfront, the convention center includes an open-floor exhibit hall space with meeting rooms, elevated ballrooms, and support areas to host large scale events.

The site is expected to open to the public in Summer of 2025.
