The state of California has launched a new website that tracks progress of state and federal infrastructure projects, including funding totals.

Build.ca.gov was created to promote the effects of public investment and coincides with what Governor Newsome called “the biggest investment in infrastructure since the 1950s and 60s”.

Available information includes the state’s plans to build a statewide clean energy system, strengthen its water resilience, repair roads, bridges and public transit, and expand high-speed internet.

California is investing $180 billion in infrastructure over the next 10 years. This money will fund upgrades that benefit every community – especially disadvantaged communities.

Currently, there are dozens of projects listed worth $41billion are listed.

“California is building more, faster – and creating thousands of good-paying jobs in the process. This goes far beyond roads and bridges – this is about investing in our communities and our families, giving opportunity to hard-working Californians and ensuring we deliver on our world-leading climate goals,” Governor Gavin Newsom said, introducing the new website.
