The City of Los Angeles has secured $9.34 million in congressionally directed spending to continue confronting the homelessness crisis and making affordable housing more available.
Mayor Karen Bass made the announcement as she leads an international delegation to generate business development and learn from innovative housing, green transportation and infrastructure projects to prepare Los Angeles ahead of the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Funding will go to health, and safety improvements at interim and permanent housing facilities and to build more housing on publicly-owned land including the following initiatives:
Inside Safe – $3 million
Gower Street Apartments Improvements – $3 million
Prentice Permanent Supportive Housing Improvements – $1.8 million
Saticoy Gardens Permanent Supportive Housing Renovations – $500,000
411 N. Vermont St. Site Preparation for Mixed-Use Affordable Housing Development – $500,000
