Snyder Langston recently celebrated the topping out of the CareMar Recovery Center, a two-story, 28,000-square-foot design-build facility under construction in Newport Beach.
The project is being developed for Hoag and is designed by Boulder Associates Architects, with structural engineering by Miyamoto International.
The OSHPD-3 licensed recovery center, located on the south campus of Hoag Hospital, is designed to provide a healing, residential environment for individuals seeking addiction treatment and recovery services. The facility will feature home-like residential quarters, private consultation rooms, and indoor and outdoor communal spaces that encourage wellness, connection, and collaboration.
In addition to detoxification, clinical care, and treatment services, the center will offer a comprehensive range of programs supporting residents, outpatients, and their families. Planned services include group therapy sessions, wellness activities, long-term recovery support, and specialized treatment tracks for women, trauma survivors, and other patient populations.
The facility represents a significant expansion of Hoag’s behavioral health and addiction recovery services. By creating a dedicated treatment center with greater capacity, Hoag aims to address the growing demand for addiction care throughout Orange County while providing patients with a more supportive and therapeutic environment.
“We see a major need for it in Orange County, and our vision is a first-in-class facility that expands Hoag’s ability to deliver our vital services for addiction support and care,” said Robert Braithwaite, president and CEO of Hoag.
Once completed, the CareMar Recovery Center will serve as a comprehensive destination for addiction treatment and recovery.
