BYD, a China-based manufacturer of automobiles, buses, forklifts, rechargeable batteries, and trucks, is expanding its facility in Lancaster.
The expansion will add 100,000 sq. ft. to the structure when it comes online at the end of June, according to a report in Clean Technica.
The new development will be used to store parts and components for BYD’s products, freeing up manufacturing space and allowing for better use of the space in its primary manufacturing building, according to the report.
The expansion is being built without any aid from any city, state, or federal incentives.
