Construction in Yuba City’s commercial and business sectors is booming.

The Union reports that some of the projects include the Bank of Feather River building — a two-story, 10,000-square-foot building expected to open in early 2019; 51,000-square-foot substance abuse treatment facility; an 83-room Springhill Suites and a 108-room Holiday Inn Express.

Also, a 53-unit single-family home subdivision; 26 apartments; 15,281 square feet of retail and vertical mixed-use project has been approved by city council, but the applicant, New Faze of Sacramento, has not yet obtained building permits.

“We’re extremely busy on the retail and on the commercial side of things,” Development Services Director Arnoldo Rodriguez said recently. “We have a lot of projects in process and in the pipeline.”
