The Los Angeles Planning Commission recently endorsed the $1-billion Crossroads Hollywood mixed-use project in Hollywood, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The project, proposed by Harridge Development Group, calls for the redevelopment of the historic Crossroads of the World pedestrian shopping village and two other buildings, and the addition of 1.4-million-sq.-ft. of mixed-use space.
The project will include more than 300 hotel rooms, 950 apartments, 190,000 sq. ft. of commercial space and almost 2,300 underground parking spaces.
Construction is expected to create 2,500 temporary jobs.
The project will now be reviewed by the Los Angeles City Council’s planning and land use management committee, according to The Real Deal.
