Kilroy Realty Corporation expects to imminently start construction of its life science development site, Kilroy Oyster Point in South San Francisco.

Kilroy said last June that it plans to develop, over multiple phases, a 2.5 million sq. ft. laboratory and office complex eventually encompassing 11 buildings on a nearly 40-acre Bay Area waterfront site, the largest biotech project across the whole Bay Area, according to the San Francisco Business Times.

The business publication reports that the development’s first phase includes three six-story buildings totalling 508,000 sq. ft. on 10 acres. The building shells would be completed by 2021.

Site work and road construction have commenced.
