University of California Office of President issues RFQ for architects

The University of California Office of the President has issued a request for qualifications (RFQ) seeking submissions from interested firms for architectural services.

The services are for mostly in Oakland facilities and a few remote locations, and the type and scope of work may vary depending on the improvements the university selects to pursue.

Scope of Services

– Work with university stakeholders to develop/review potential programs and assess the existing conditions in order to produce tenant improvement options.

– Scope of services may include feasibility studies, master plans, programming, space planning, phasing, cost analysis, and/or any other services that may arise as the projects gets developed.

– Services may include full or partial design services through construction administration, including all sub-consultants, and/or any combination of a-la-cart services depending on the project delivery methods selected for improvements and the university needs.

– Design creative and cost-effective solutions for the university to meet the needs of various departments of Office of the President.

The selection will be for services anticipated over the next three years.
