A new emergency order has extended construction hours for large projects in San Jose.
The order, signed by San Jose City Manager Dave Sykes last week, has extended the construction hours from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., Mondays through Saturdays, reports the Silicon Valley Business Journal.
The new order goes into effect immediately and extends hours for sites with an approved development permit or other planning approval that are at least 50,000 sq. ft. in size or at least 50 residential units.
The San Jose City Council is expected to vote to ratify the order during the first or second week of June, according to the city’s website
