The Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Northern California chapter has posted a career opportunity for a new president and CEO.
Current president Michele Daugherty will be moving to become ABC Central Florida’s president and CEO once the chapter selects her successor. Daugherty, who has led the Northern California chapter for seven years, will be replacing Mark Wylie whose retirement will bring to a close 38 years of service to ABC.
“Michele spearheaded the efforts of the chapter and trusts with her effective strategies to position them in the successful standing that they are in,” ABC said in a statement. “Michele will be working with the Executive Committee over the next several months to aid with the transition and replacement search process, and the executive committee will work to keep all entities informed through the transition.”
“Michele has been working for ABC since 2006 and we are happy to see that she is staying in the ABC family; continuing to fight for the Merit Shop,” ABC NorCal Board of Directors Chairperson Josh Ward said in a Sept. 23 statement.
“The Executive Committee expresses its sincere appreciation for Michele and her remarkable services. Her enthusiasm and leadership will be deeply missed and difficult to replicate. ABC NorCal wishes Michele and the ABC Central Florida chapter success with their future endeavors, and we are all grateful for the time we had with her in California.”
“We are currently in a great position to help our industry meet its needs for a skilled workforce. We have a strong management team and a dedicated board of directors in place to carry our strategic plan forward. ABC NorCal has a healthy foundation and is poised for continued growth.”
