C.W. Driver breaks ground on $36.8 million mixed-use project in San Gabriel Valley

Contractor C.W. Driver Companies says it has broken ground on a 58,258 sq. ft. mixed-use multifamily product for Begonia Real Estate Development in the San Gabriel Valley.

The four-story podium structure in Temple City has a $36.8 million construction value.  It includes will 74 market-rate apartments, 11,000 sq. ft. of commercial space and a subterranean parking garage. The project is expected to be completed in June 2023. Creative Design Associate is the architect.

“C.W. Driver Companies is looking to expand further into the multifamily market, as we build more residential product to keep up with California’s heightened demand,” said Jeff Canfield, project executive Jeff Canfield said in a statement.

“We’ve developed a successful partnership with Begonia Real Estate Development, helping to navigate construction costs and supply-chain issues by ordering materials well in advance and storing them on-site to ensure continuous workflow for our subcontractors,” he said.

C.W. Driver Companies says it and Begonia Real Estate Development have additional plans to build a 200-unit wrap product in Pomona.
