Tutor Perini Corporation says its subsidiary, Rudolph and Sletten, has been awarded a contract worth about $960 million to build a new UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital in Oakland.
The project includes construction of a 277,500-sq. ft. hospital building with seven above-grade levels and one full basement level. Plans also call for a new 269-space parking garage with a rooftop heliport, along with the demolition of three existing structures and installation of a site services trailer.
Construction is scheduled to begin in September 2025, with substantial completion expected in 2031.
Tutor Perini said the contract value will be added to its backlog in the third quarter of 2025.
Rudolph and Sletten has been providing preconstruction services on the project, which is now moving into the full construction phase.
