McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. has broken ground on a new six-story, 653-stall cast-in-place parking structure at Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose, marking the first phase of the hospital’s broader campus modernization plan.
The project is designed to improve mobility and enhance safe, convenient access for patients, families, and caregivers, forming a key part of the hospital’s long-term investment in infrastructure upgrades across its South San Jose campus.
As part of its preconstruction and construction services, McCarthy is self-performing the civil and concrete work, leveraging its in-house expertise to ensure precision, quality, and efficiency throughout delivery.
“This milestone marks a major step toward improving mobility and the overall arrival experience across the South San Jose campus,” the company said in a statement.
McCarthy is collaborating with design partner Gresham Smith, HCA Healthcare, and other project partners to deliver the facility. The company said the project underscores its commitment to safety and quality while supporting access to exceptional healthcare for the South Bay community.
