Rudolph and Sletten, a subsidiary of Tutor Perini Corp., has been awarded a contract by UC Davis Health to expand the Central Utility Plant at its healthcare campus in Sacramento, the company announced.

The project includes construction of a new two-story, 32,000-square-foot Central Utility Plant annex building that will house plant operations and hospital support space. The work also calls for expansion of normal and emergency power services, including installation of three 3-megawatt generators.

In addition, the project will renovate the existing Campus Central Plant, with upgrades to chilled and hot water systems, reconfiguration of electrical infrastructure, expansion of fuel oil system capacity, improvements to industrial controls, and renovations to the control room and administrative areas.

Construction is already underway, with substantial completion expected in the fall of 2027.

The current contract value is approximately $253 million. Tutor Perini said $108 million of that total was added to the company’s backlog in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Rudolph and Sletten is headquartered in Menlo Park and operates offices throughout California, including in Roseville, Irvine, Los Angeles and San Diego. The firm specializes in construction projects across sectors such as health care, higher education, life sciences, high-tech and government facilities.
