Anduril Industries plans to construct a 1.18 million-sq. ft. campus in Long Beach and Lakewood, expanding its Southern California footprint to support growing demand from the U.S. military and allied partners. The company’s headquarters will remain in Costa Mesa.

The new campus will include six buildings, combining 750,000 sq. ft. of office space with 435,000 square feet of industrial and research facilities. Designed to support high-tech manufacturing, fabrication, and flight testing, the project is expected to create roughly 5,500 direct jobs, with thousands more in construction, security, and supporting services. The facility is slated to open in mid-2027.

“The scale of this campus makes it one of the largest advanced manufacturing projects in the region,” said Long Beach Mayor Rex Richardson. “It only happens when a city has the workforce, infrastructure, and industrial legacy to support growth at this level.”

Construction will involve a mix of office, R&D, and industrial building types, requiring advanced structural systems, specialized mechanical and electrical installations, and fabrication-ready facilities. The campus will feature on-site machine shops, flight test areas, and research labs designed for collaboration between software and hardware teams.

Located about 30 minutes from Anduril’s Costa Mesa headquarters and 90 minutes from its Capistrano test site, the Long Beach campus allows for close coordination across sites—a factor likely to influence construction planning, sequencing, and logistics.

The project builds on Anduril’s broader industrial expansion, which includes its Arsenal‑1 hyperscale manufacturing facility in Ohio and additional production sites across the U.S. and internationally. Once completed, the Long Beach campus will position Anduril as one of Southern California’s major employers in advanced manufacturing and aerospace
