Coast Aluminum officially broke ground last week on a new 163,000-square-foot manufacturing and distribution facility near Peach and McKinley Avenues, marking a major $42 million investment in the region. The project is expected to create around 100 new jobs, strengthening Fresno’s economy and providing good-paying opportunities for local residents.

Founded in Fresno in 1993, Coast Aluminum has supplied industrial and specialty metals to businesses throughout the Valley. The company now operates 17 branches across the Western U.S. and Northern Mexico, but Fresno remains a special location for the Hayward-based business.

“Fresno’s very interesting because it’s a significant city, but yet it still feels like a neighborhood, a smaller town,” said Thomas Clark, president of Coast Aluminum. “Fresno was our very first branch, and without its success, we wouldn’t have 17 branches today.”

Construction on the facility is expected to continue through 2026, when it will be fully operational. The expansion underscores Coast Aluminum’s commitment to Fresno and its role in supporting the local workforce and businesses.
