Lowe, Related Fund begins office building construction in Los Angeles

A joint venture between Lowe and Related Fund Management (RFM) has started construction of an 113,000-sq.-ft. in downtown Los Angeles.

The nine-story office building is being built at 2130 Violet St. in the vibrant Arts District in the downtown.

The office building will offer large 27,000-sq. ft. floorplates, high ceilings, operable windows, and energy efficient building systems and HVAC. Its top four floors are dedicated to office space, with terraces. The building will have approximately 3,000-sq.-ft. rooftop deck outfitted with lounge seating, tables and chairs, well-spaced across this large open space.

The building will feature approximately 3,400 sq. ft. of ground floor retail, and four levels of parking with 275 spaces.

As part of the development, the company is installing public infrastructure including sidewalks, crosswalks, a traffic signal, tree grates, street lighting, and landscaping along its Violet Street frontage.

The building is designed by Ware Malcomb, while Swinerton is the general contractor.

Construction is expected to complete in early-2022.
